故事講述父親的間諜任務失敗並在南韓被殺，只得19歲的明勳（T.O.P 飾）與妹妹慧茵（金有貞飾）被送去勞改營，二人命運未卜，加上妹妹病重，明勳必須想辦法拯救自己和妹妹逃出生天。於是他自願成為北韓間諜，接替父親的任務，原本善良的他成了殺人工具。為潛入南韓，他偽裝成高中生，在班上竟遇上一個與妹妹同名的同學（韓藝璃飾），發展出微妙友情。南韓政府發現了明勳的間諜行動，並對他展開追捕；同一時間，北韓政府竟派出殺手置他於死地。腹背受敵的明勳面對四面八方的追擊，如何才可力保自己最愛的人脫離險境？
