一群年輕人憑著執著的信念，燃燒出滿腔熱情，新世代展現台灣在地文化最震撼人心的感動！一個改編自台中九天民俗技藝團的真實故事，阿泰（柯有倫飾）出身自深受傳統陣頭文化影響的廟宇；小時候搗蛋任性，常以神像為玩弄對象，不得團長父親的認同。離家到台北學音樂不成，回家後因父親受同門的挑釁而搶任團長一職。在父親傳統觀念壓迫下，輟學生團友也對這少爺仔脾氣的阿泰亳無信心，連番質疑，加上對手阿賢（小鬼飾）的鄙視。激發阿泰用自己的方式，與團員面對艱辛，帶領他們背起大鼓，攀山涉水，踏上環島之路，為傳統陣頭重新定義！ 正當這群陣頭孩子顛覆傳統引起熱烈迴響，卻引發與長輩決裂的導火線……他們將如何在傳統前證明，不開臉，不扮神，也能創造屬於自己的全新陣頭文化？
