2011年3月11日，日本東北地區宮城縣北部發生芮氏規模9.0強震，這是日本有地震紀錄以來，規模最大的地震，並引發十公尺高的大海嘯，衝入內陸一百五十公里，淹沒大片農田和房舍，有八十多處起火，損失難以估計。事後又遭遇核能外洩侵害，這個浩劫引發了全球關注。震垮了家園、沖散了親人、重傷了人心，全世界的人都看到了這些怵目驚心畫面，同時也主動的一起為日本祈福、為日本加油，有錢出錢、有力出力，各方善心捐款與物資開始湧入集結。擦乾眼淚，劫後餘生的災民們，望著已認不出自家何處的殘破景象，後續重建工程將備感艱辛！索尼音樂特別號召中港台24組歌手共同獻聲，本專輯淨收入將全部捐作日本紅十字會救災專用款項。邀請您與我們一起為受災居民伸出援手。
